A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

Music, writing, reading, listening, observing, feeling, smelling, tasting, loving, hurting and healing and rescuing an impaled deer off a fence, like what happened this past summer.

2. Why do you make art?

To play with what I love to do and it helps me be here now.

3. What inspires you?

Nature, science, art, music, philosophy, dance and history (deep and hidden). Ancient architecture and petroglyphs.

4. What/who are your influences?

Nature, musicians, artists, philosophers and life experiences.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

My Great Grandfather who I never knew. I have his mandolin passed down from his son, my grandfather Melvin Awe.
